The biggest differences between copper pipe and stainless steel tube used in heat exchanger:
1. Scaling---
Stainless steel is easier to scale than copper pipe;
2. Heat transfer performance---
Copper has a higher heat transfer performance than stainless steel (including but not limit to stainless steel tube, seamless stainless steel tube, stainless steel mirror tube, welded stainless steel pipe). As a result, copper pipe is widely used in condenser, evaporator, heat exchanger etc.
