C44300, CuZn28Sn1As, CZ111, HSn70-1 all indicate admiralty brass tube (consisted of Copper, Zinc and Tin) and they are the same material designation from different production standards or norms. By adding arsenic (As) into the material, C44300 / CuZn28Sn1As / CZ111 / HSn70-1 comes out, which effectively restrain extensive leakage caused by dezincification corrosion, as a result, the quality and service life of condenser tube have been greatly improved. However the dezincification corrosion and stress corrosion of brass tube is not as good as that of Cu-Ni alloy, which therefore limits its application in shipbuilding.
