Hard drawn brass tubing indicates the brass (an alloy of copper and zinc) tubing whose temper or condition is hard drawn. Condition of hard drawn is one of rigid or hard tempers. Due to the work hardening of the drawing process, it cannot be bent and must use elbow fittings to go around corners or around obstacles. By varying the proportions of copper and zinc, the properties of the brass can be changed, allowing hard and soft brasses.
